How To Make Aloo Paratha

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 5/10 medium sized boiled and mashed potato or as per your requirement
  • 1 teaspoon of salt or as per your requirement
  • 1 tablespoon of oil or as per your requirement
  • Water for kneading

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt and oil together.
  2. Add the mashed potato and mix until the mixture forms a crumbly texture.
  3. Gradually add water and knead into a soft, pliable dough.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into small balls.
  6. Take a ball of dough and flatten it into a disc shape.
  7. Place a spoonful of mashed potatoes in the center of the dough disc.
  8. Fold the edges of the disc to cover the mashed potato and seal tightly.
  9. Flatten the stuffed dough ball into a disc shape.
  10. Dust the surface with some flour and roll into a large thin disc.
  11. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  12. Place the rolled paratha on the pan and cook until the bottom side is browned.
  13. Flip the paratha and cook until the other side is browned.
  14. Serve hot with a dollop of butter or chutney.
